LOCATION

Neuquén en SudaméricaThe Republic of Argentina lies in the Southern Hemisphere, in South America. Its capital city is Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan metropolis internationally renowned for its valuable cultural equipment. Neuquén province is located in the northeast of the Argentine Patagonia, and it lies on the Cordillera de los Andes.

 In Mapuche language, “Neuquén” means “daring, vehement, arrogant." The Mapuche are a group of aboriginal tribes that inhabit the province of Neuquén since the sixteenth century. They all share the same customs and beliefs. They also speak a sole language (the mapuche) and they are internally organized as a group.
